About

Jeffrey DeNinno has over 25 years of experience as an architect in a variety of project types including residential, commercial interiors, historic preservation, adaptive re-use, transportation, education and senior living.

Mr. DeNinno was introduced to the building industry through his family’s construction business. Early on he developed a firm understanding of the mechanics of buildings as well as an appreciation for the craft of construction. Through out his education, training and career as an architect Jeffrey has used this experience to guide and support his designs.

Another theme in his work is an appreciation for the always rational and sometimes fantastic qualities of industrial structures and engineering works. This interest was instilled while growing up in Pittsburgh and then enriched at university in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Using basic materials, thoughtfully composed and simply assembled Mr. DeNinno designs forms and spaces that are enriching but not overwhelming.

For nearly ten of his practice Mr. DeNinno worked with in the Pittsburgh office of an international design firm where much of his work was large scale senior living communities and education buildings.  Particularly rewarding was the planning and design of dementia facilities where thoughtful planning, architecture and interior design were paramount in creating environments that permitted residents to remain engaged, for families to feel at ease and for care-givers to do their best.

DeNinno Architects was launched when Mr. DeNinno was presented with the opportunity to design a large residence for a previous client. The residence is more private museum than a house. High quality materials combined with traditional craftsmanship and state of the art technology are all utilized to best exhibit the owners’ varied and exotic collections.

Nimble, fully capable and eager to please DeNinno Architects is interested in further design opportunities to apply our design sensibilities and expertise.
